P.O.D. back in the studio THIS WEEK ??
Over the past few weeks, P.O.D. have teamed up with Rhino Records torelease a 'Greatest Hits' record simple titled, "Greatest Hits - The Atlantic Years."
Rhino Records are the premier music label for box sets, greatesthits, etc. representing Artists such as: Black Sabbath, The Cure, The Ramones, and even thegreat Frank Sinatra.
Rhino are calling this their '#1 Priority for the rest of the year'and have said they are very pleased to honor P.O.D.'s Atlantic catalog.
Early reports are that this will be a 17-track record.
... but P.O.D. wanted to make this even more special, so they areincluding two NEW songs!
One of the new tracks will be a never been released song from theGlen Ballard "Testify" sessions.
The other new track is being recorded this week with Producer, Travis Wyrick. Chris Lord-Alge is scheduled to mix the song next week in Los Angeles.
Rhino have set a Nov. 21st release date. (Thanksgiving Week)
Ok, what about after the 'Greatest Hits' record?
P.O.D. have been taking meetings with various record labels.
There are also discussions within their management team aboutdeveloping their own independent model.
'We have been blessed to have many great years on a major label, butthe idea of remaining free agents is attractive.
Regardless, we're having the most fun we've ever had as a band andare planning to write and record throughout the Fall.
We have our eyes on a Spring 2007 release.

INTERVIEW: DJ Jonty SKRUFFF´S interviews Kristan Beyer from German electronic duo Âme .
Minimal is over predicts German minimal star
13/09/2006
Kristan Beyer from German electronic duo Âme chatted to Skrufff this week about their already hugely successful minimal tech-house anthem Rej and revealed that he absolutely loathes most minimal music.“Some tracks are good but in my opinion 90% of this music is bullshit,” said Kristan.
“Rej is a big hit with the American guys like Louis Vegas, Francois Kevorkian, Timmy Regisford as well as the minimal guys like Richie Hawtin but we’ve never made minimal music and I don’t like minimal music at all,” he stressed. “We think it’s only popular because it’s the best music to accompany the drugs people do these days. In Germany we call it ketamine music,” he added. The former Sonar Kollektiv star and Jazzanova peer stressed Âme come from a ‘more traditional house and techno music’ background and predicted minimal’s days are numbered.
