The Herbaliser, a.k.a. Ollie Teeba and Jake Wherry, return with their richest and most diverse record so far. With new vocalist Jessica Darling, five-piece band and a focus on soulful songwriting the Herbaliser build on their hip-hop origins with a rich mix of jazz, funk, R&B, pop, and instrumental soundtrack influences.

Moving forwards, sideways, and back to the future, The Herbaliser have come full circle. “It’s still a hip-hop inspired record, but at the same time it’s a lot broader because our musical and emotional horizons are broader,” says Jake.

Same As It Never Was is out 26th May.

The Bancal Bancal studio is a new project started by three London-based frenchmen Ivan Smagghe, Danton Eeprom and Tim Paris plus british dj/producer Pete Herbert.

From this "Franco English resistance bunker", as Ivan describe, had already originated some cool tracks including 3 remixes from Ivan Smagghe & Tim Paris (aka It's A Fine Line) out on Marketing, Tsuba an d Soma, one EP + one remix from Ivan Smagghe & Danton Eeprom (aka "La Horse") due to be released on Fondation and Kill The Dj + one EP with Tim Paris and Pete Herbert (aka "Challenge") out soon on Marketing.

Wow, That's Not My Name straight in at Number One! Thank you so much to everyone who bought the single and helped us achieve that - we really appreciate it.

And it's another week of suspense for us as We Started Nothing spends its first week available to buy.

The debut album we've all been waiting for was officially released digitally on Sunday and as a CD Monday, and of course includes Great DJ, TNMN and Shut Up And Let Me Go (the soundtrack to the new iTunes advert).
