Muzzaik
‘Fat Patchy EP’
RELEASE DATE: 16th September 2009
CAT NO: LONS021
After releases on respected labels like Tommy Boy, Stereo, Stealth Records and more, Muzzaik make their long awaited debut on Toolroom’s Leaders Of The New School imprint. Turning in not one but two Bass Heavy dance floor stompers that will be sure to rock parties from London to Miami and everywhere else in-between. This is arguably the duo’s best production to date and reflects the fact that they were voted their own countries best dj-producer act last year.
Lead track ‘Fat Patchy’ will be instantly recognizable to more experienced house heads with the reminiscent vocal ‘Apache’ chant from a few years ago. It’s rolling tribal groove, with solid drums, cool techy stabs and cheeky hooks entwine perfectly with the looped up vocal chant to create a peak time main room Bomb.
Second track ‘Mando’ is equally as impressive as ‘Fat Patchy’ with a fat kick drum and bass line that is deeper than the Titanic. The track keeps rolling along with bubbling hooks, minimalist features and a random male vocal snippet weaving in and out while catchy stabs join the fray and layer themselves into the groove.
LONS021 TRACKLISTING:
1. Fat Patchy
2. Mando
