LABEL: UNIVERSAL MOTOWN/UNIVERSAL REPUBLIC RECORDS
ARTIST:JOJO
The High Road In Stores
DATE:10/17
Teenage pop sensation JoJo returns with THE HIGH ROAD, her second album. As adulthood beckons, JoJo stands strong and comes through with a release that shows her pop smarts aren't limited to appealing to the "tween" set. She's got a knack for hooks, a knockout voice and beats from Scott Storch and Timbaland. What more do you want? A sample of Toto's 1982 hit "Africa"? Well, she's got that too.

October is good month – the weather is cooling down, the air smellslike pumpkin pie, and Halloween is just around the corner.
TMG also has some quality releases coming out this month: DenisonWitmer’s Safe Away, Copeland’s Eat, Sleep, Repeat. And if you’re more of a live show kind of gal/guy, plenty of falltours are beginning. The Copeland/The Appleseed Cast tour is intense,as is the Lovedrug/Brandtson tour. And of course you can’t leaveBrandtson’s “Text on the Dance Floor” tour out of the equation withWheatus and Mêlée.
BUT, the greatest thing about this month is the fact that we’vechanged our office policy. From here on out, we are going to offer afree download on all of our artists Myspace pages. We already havetwo free downloads up at the TMG Myspace
- MYSPACE <http://www.myspace.com/COPELAND>
- PUREVOLUME <http://www.purevolume.com/COPELAND> New AIM icons, backgrounds, and banners have been released tocoincide with Eat, Sleep, Repeat – Copeland’s third full-length. Andmake sure to go to
Spin.com<http://www.spin.com/features/heythisisawesome/2006/10/061005_copeland/> to listen to the complete album stream before it comes out. Halloween is great day to dress up in costumes, but that’s so 2005.
This year, instead of hitting up the town and robbing 10-year-olds oftheir candy collection, just go to your local record store and buyCopeland’s Eat, Sleep, Repeat. That way you can stay in for the nightand eat chocolate. It will probably be the best Halloween you everhad. Just remember, 10.31.06, 10.31.06, 10.31.06.

Chase Pagan Wtfroflcopter?!?! Who is Chase Pagan?
ARTIST SITE <http://www.chasepagan.com> - MYSPACE <http://www.myspace.com/chasepagan> - PUREVOLUME <http://www.purevolume.com/chasepagan>
Chase Pagan is the one singer-songwriter that you probably don’tknow that you should know. I’ve spent the last few minutes trying tocome up words to describe him, but our very own Paul Maziar puts itbest: “With a quick listen to Chase Pagan’s MUSIC<http://www.myspace.com/chasepagan>—one notices his stylistic range and innate organic sensibiities.
Pagan’s debut record, Oh Musica, was recorded by Chase and histalented friends, like Gretta Cohn(ex-Cursive), during live sessionsin Memphis and just outside of NY using almost all acousticinstruments. ‘Oh Musica’ will be released in Spring 2007. Listen to his music and add Chase on myspace.com/chasepagan No, really. Go check him out. You can show all of your friends whatgreat musical taste you have.

ARTIST TO WATCH: SEBASTIAN TELLIER - UNIVERSE
Sebastien tellier, an exceptional, highly personal and intimate artist echoing such other one-offs as robert wyatt, syd barrett or serge gainsbourg, returns with 'universe', an album created specifically and exclusively for the uk on lucky number. 'universe' combines the highlights from sebastien's recent number 1 i-tunes french release 'sessions' alongside the standout selections from his soundtrack to the film 'narco', neither of which have been available in the uk. fey as a french fancy, intimate and expansive in turns, treading the boards between pink panther and soft-porn, tellier serves up a string and moog-infused feast.
