This week, there are a couple of resident DJ shake-ups on the horizon... we do like to keep it interesting for all our sakes! For starters, we've asked king of the roof terrace, Ben Korbel, to take a trip (hopefully not literally) down the stairs and round the corner, into the Space Terraza Arena, representing the Sounds crew from down under, who are co-hosting tonight's soiree. Warming up is Mat Playford - by now there's been enough time between drinks for another of his infamous all-night mayhem sessions - plus disco's boy wonder Serge Santiago. Anyone who caught Serge's last set with us will surely be arriving early to score a prime position on the dance floor... take a leaf out of their books and be sure to do the same - it's one not to be missed! We've invited Layo to perform a solo set, alongside Radioslave and our very own Paul Woolford, who, after playing a truly wicked early set last week that got the party primed and ready will be bringing the room to a close in his own inimitable style.
Out on the Sunset Terrace, we're bringing another rezzie down from his roof roost (and another Aussie to boot) - the one and only Alex Taylor (whose knockout performance with Peyton last weekend would have torn the roof off the Premier Etage if only it had one!). Jason Bye jumps behind the decks next, followed by the terrific twosome of Alfredo banging out Balearic beats (now using all CDs we duly noticed last week) while Ian C bangs his drums, cymbals, samplers and more. To close, we've got special guest Funkagenda, bringing his fresh housey sounds to the house of We Love... for the first time ever.
Upstairs on the Premier Etage, we've got the loved-up duo of Leo Belchetz and Beccy Grierson playing back to back to prove they've got plenty of chemistry in more places than one! Then the ginger-bearded wonder, Scott Martin takes over, ensuring those up on the roof for a breath of fresh air get plenty of fresh grooves too. We're keeping the funk and disco fires of the past few weeks burning down in El Salon (fast becoming THE place to be!) with the quirky stylings of Lord Anthony. If you're not familiar with his lordship, then there's only one way to find out exactly who he is - let's just say it involves head-to-toe silver Lycra, space helmets and glitter cannons galore... and that's just the beginning!
Early on in the deep, dark and cavernous Discoteca, David Phillips entices those ready, willing and able onto the newly waxed floors, followed by Deepgroove - who we hear have been busy making tracks specifically for this gig - and Boys Noize, fresh from the festival circuit and picking up (or should that be turning it up?) where the Ed Bangers left off last week. Then we keep the feline vibes alive (after Kittin wowed the crowds last Sunday) with the coolest cat of them all, Felix Da Housecat!
And last, but never ever least, don't go thinking we've forgotten the Red Box! We welcome back the mischievous Burlington Project lads with open arms. After the previous party's shenanigans and with residents like Andy Carroll, Jem Haynes and Ryan O'Gorman at the helm, we're pretty sure this room is going to be action packed. Special guest Pier Bucci (who, according to Ryan is the man who showed Luciano, Ricardo and all the other chilly-willies what's what!) is performing live, guaranteed to pack AND rock the house simultaneously. Oh, and we hear whispers of a little Burlington-flavoured after-party a brewing too. But shhhh... let's keep that our little secret, OK?
