NEW BAND:BLAQK AUDIO
Blaqk Audio have "Stiff Kittens"
If this was say, eight maybe 10 years ago, and someone said that AFI was making an electronic album, I would of said, "get the fuck outta here." Now years later after releasing The Art of Drowning, Sing the Sorrow, and Decemberunderground, that shock of an electronic album isn't there anymore as they've dabbled with software and synthesizers on those previous albums. Beginning around 2001-2002, AFI's Davey Havok and Jade Puget finally unveiled their black curtain on Blaqk Audio in March of this year with the release of "Bitter For Sweet." And their latest, which seems to be channeling some Joy Division, New Order, Depeche Mode and maybe some Echo and the Bunnymen, just recently uploaded their latest "Stiff Kittens" on their Myspace page last night. Their album, "CexCells," is slated to drop on Aug. 7
