FEATURED: Taking a Walk on the Wild Side: Lou Reed & N.E.R.D. at Fader Fort Austin
Thursday at the Fader Fort was hallmark. As the Austin dusk
set, My Morning Jacket, Thurston Moore (of Sonic Youth), Joseph Arthur, and Dr. Dog gave tribute to Lou Reed. The lights
shone golden on Lou himself gave a wicked live show with
Moby- as the crowd all sang along to "Walk On A Wild Side."
N.E.R.D concluded the night (after making the crowd wait for a
diva-like amount of time) with Pharrell doing a ska-esque
dance-off onstage and inviting two chicks on-stage to grind. They also debuted some new songs but if we told you what they
were we'd have to kill you.
Instead, here's some memorable moments... check out MORE SHOTS HERE:

Usher's "Love in This Club" featuring Young Jeezy holds
tight to the top spot on the Hot 100 for a second week.
Sara Bareilles' "Love Song rises 5-4 in its 19th week on the chart as Rihanna's "Don't Stop the Music" declines 4-5.
"No Air," Jordin Sparks' duet with Chris Brown, is this week's greatest airplay gainer and stays at No. 6 for a second week.
"Bleeding Love," the No. 1 European single from Leona Lewis, surges 41-21 on the Hot 100, becoming this week's biggest digital sales gainer.
Her debut album "Spirit" drops in the U.S.A on April 8.

Hearts of Animals is Mlee Suprean's electronic solo project.
"Superb songcraft and a delicate touch allow Suprean to create music that is at once astonishingly heavy and gossamer-light; under her spell, seemingly disparate concepts and styles play nicely with one another. Dense noise provides the perfect foil for power-pop sugar; cheaply effective Casio beats underscore stabbing waves of pseudo-shoegaze psychedelia.
This is musical magical realism to turn Gabriel García Márquez green-eyed with envy." - Houston Press

Cut Copy are prancing around the globe [they can currently be found inhaling whole rib stacks and complaining about the coffee at SXSW in Texas] ahead of the imminent release of their new album In Ghost Colours. You've already lived and loved Lights And Music for a minute, but In Ghost Colours is one wonderfully deep, vivid record with everything from undeniable slammers to beautifully textured sonic dreams. The band will rain down a glowing and glittery rain of disco-pop droplets on April 23rd at the Scala in London.
