Catrat-Freedom

(Jay Haze/Kabuki Remix) 12" !

The moody electro-dub joint Freedom by CATRAT was probably one of the stand-out tunes of Best seven selections 2 (SBCD0006) and of the Best seven selections 2 sampler 12“ (SB7019).

With his amazing remix JAY HAZE demonstrates his outstanding production skills and shows his long-standing love for forward-thinking dub music.

KABUKI’s treatment is a four to the floor house affair blended with warm keyboard melodies and tight drum parts. It gives CATRAT’s Freedom a surprising and refreshing dancefloor flavour and it will surely find its place in the box and charts of many DJs and in the playlist of many house lovers.

SK180CD/elektrish – Soulphiction – Do You Overstand?!
Following on from his 2006 album State Of Euphoria (SK080CD/LP)

SOULPHICTION aka JACKMATE and part of MANMADESCIENCE aka Stuttgart man MICHEL BAUMANN brings us a fresh new album on Sonar Kollektiv.

SOULPHICTION's productions are restrained and minimal in the right way - he doesn't let things get too complicated.

SOULPHICTION remains true to his name and puts a lot of heart and soul into the music. He tells a story with his music, but it’s believable enough to carry the listener along, at least for a while.

Paul was supported by Duffy and a great new

Paul also had some fantastic photos taken with Duffy that are going to be used for a front cover of Q very soon.

The new website for www.paulweller.com is underway so more

:PAGINA WEB: DJ SOUNDS.COM

Remix Radiohead!

Radiohead, iTunes and GarageBand are giving you the opportunity to remix the band's new single "Nude".

To make remixing easy, the separate 'stems' from the song are available to purchase from iTunes here.

The 'stems' available are bass, voice, guitar, strings/fx and drums. You can mix them in any way you like, either by adding your own beats and instrumentation, or just remixing the original parts.

If you purchase all five 'stems' from iTunes during the first week they're available, you'll be sent an access code to a GarageBand file ready to open in GarageBand or Logic.

However, you don't need GarageBand to do a remix, all the stems are in iTunes Plus format and compatible with several music software platforms.

Roland Appel releases debut album

Roland Appel strikes out on his own with a debut solo album Talk To Your Angel due out next month.

The albums title hints at Appel’s newfound path as solo producer: “When you are working alone you sometimes want to talk to someone - but on the other hand you don’t want to talk to them, because you really enjoy being alone. It’s then that it becomes clear to you that you can talk to your angel”.

Talk To Your Angel is a collection of mostly dancefloor cuts that meld song structures with Appel's influences: techno, house, soul, disco and house.

The nine-tracker includes past singles Dark Soldier and Unforgiven, as well as current 12" Inner Soul.

Tracklist
01 Inner Soul [Slow Version]
02 Secrets
03 Changes
04 New Love
05 Angel
06 Lost Valley
07 Dark Soldier
08 Unforgiven
09 Child Song

Roland Appel's "Talk To Your Angel" is released on Sonar Kollektiv on May 26, 2008

The Khvaleyev brothers have been writing music for a while, but it wasn't until 2007 that Pavel and Vitaliy saw their success take flight.

Their music has been selected this year on both Jimmy Van M's Balance 10.1 compilation as well as Tiesto's In Search of Sunrise 6, releases on Traum, Regular, their own Disoma and Moonbeam labels, and finally Kickin' -- home of Trentemoller's "An Evening with the Bobi Brothers".

The first Moonbeam originals for Proton Music come on a dual EP release.

Insight, Sky, Predator, and Samurai highlight the key aspects of this Russian duo's diverse sound: Working with a variety of vocalists, catchy melodies, and a strong handle on energy.

If you want more Moonbeam, be sure to check out their show of the same name on Proton as well as their plentiful back catalogue on Beatport.
