With its futuristic white curves, deep blue fishtank-walls and free-flowing champagne, the soft-launch of the second Kingly Club venue from the Dezzi Mc Causland felt a lot like we’d imagine a cocktail reception at the Pearly Gates would have: overly selective, frighteningly neat, and amusingly proper. And very, very white.

Featuring the distinctive vocal stylings of singer Inger Hansen, the new DJ Shah single (taken of course from ‘Songbook’) is hitting the promo trail this week. Complete with a range of mixes including Shah’s epic San Antonio Harbour version, the track is released just in time for a good old fashioned peak-season Ibizan hammering on the 30th of June. But you don’t have to wait till then!

After reaching the top 5 in the Dutch singles chart, Armin van Buuren and DJ Shah’s single ‘Going Wrong’ has gone on to score heavy rotation across stations in the US and Canada. ASOT 350
With all-trance-guns-blazing, the ASOT 350 road-show (held to celebrate the 350th episode of Armin’s radio show) rolled into Antwerp, Belgium on May 1st. The free party featured Shah, alongside the likes of Armin (natch!), M.I.K.E., Markus Schulz and Nic Chagall. The requests for footage have kept the trance forums hot so for those that missed out as well as those that were there, you can check Shah whipping the crowd up into a big, frothy Balearic mess by hitting the track title links below!

Summer is starting to show its hand on Roger’s gig schedule… On July the 1st he will taking his sun-kissed sound back to where it was born as he takes over the deck controls at Amnesia in Ibiza. Armin’s A State of Trance / Armada night is the occasion and if you want to hear Shah preaching from the legendary Amnesia pulpit, best get booking those flights now! Then on July 5th its Luminosity at the Beach which Roger says will be “a great summer open air party at the beach, which will be perfect for a feel of Magic Island”. Roger will be warming up for no one less than dance legends Faithless on the 9th of August, at the huge Knockout Festival in Malta!

Welcome to "Buff Nuff". Directed by Alastair Siddons

(who did "Too Cold" for the last Roots Manuva campaign, as well as work for The Streets and Mitchell Brothers, and has currently just finished up the feature length breakdance documentary "Turn It Loose"),

It features Roots Manuva and longtime associate Ricky Ranking as itinerent ice cream salesman, wooing the good women of Hackney with cones full of creamy goodness.

Daft Punk Back in the Studio

Parisian electro trailblazers Daft Punk (myspace) are working on a new album, their latest musical endeavor since 2005's Human After All. No details on a release date or tracklist, although the robotic duo have been known to not rush the creative process in the studio.

The duo continues to stay busy touring select festivals and releasing a silent movie at the 2006 Cannes Film Festival titled Electroma.
