Oasis Announce Greatest Hits Tracklisting
by Staff 09.12.2006

While music fans could argue all day about the length of a CD of Oasis’ greatest hits, the final 18 tracks have been settled on. After much fan involvement, and very likely some Gallagher on Gallagher punch-ups, the following tracks have been selected for Oasis’ career retrospective Stop The Clocks. With a very even split across the group’s six studio album, the compilation also contains some of the band’s famed b-sides, such as “Half The World Away” and “Acquiesce”.

Tracklisting: 01 Rock n Roll Star 02 Some Might Say 03 Talk Tonight 04 Lyla 05 The Importance of Being Idle 06 Wonderwall 07 Slide Away 08 Cigarettes & Alcohol 09 The Masterplan 10 Live Forever 11 Acquiesce 12 Supersonic 13 Half The World Away 14 Go Let It Out 15 Songbird 16 Morning Glory 17 Champagne Supernova 18 Don't Look Back in Anger

Cut Copy- Australian rock-electro’s finest

“Electroclash didn’t really hit in Australia it was much more of a UK/ UK thing. In Australia there were a handful of DJs who followed it but I don’t think there was much of an interest in it, here in Australia; it passed us by. I guess it was a little too ironic for Australians.”Chatting down the line from his Melbourne studio, Cut Copy founder and song-writer Dan Whitford is adamant his band’s fusion of vocal drenched rocked up dance music has no connection with electroclash or any particular newer trend, though is happier flying the flag for his Australian roots.“We’re definitely representing Australia though I wouldn’t describe us as being part of a scene as far as other bands in Melbourne are concerned,” says Dan.

I'm From Barcelona - We're From Barcelona single (Interpop)CD & 7" - CDIPOP3 / IPOP3

Named after Fawlty Towers' Manuel (he̢۪s from Barcelona, si?), and formed in Jonkoping, Sweden by Emanuel Lundgren, I'm From Barcelona are 29 (count em!) friends who gathered together and, fuelled with the energy that only a sunny summer holiday can bring, created an album of explosively happy pop songs.

Emanuel's flat transformed into a factory where band members embraced a do-it-yourself ethic, coming and going loaded with banjos, accordions and kazoos and eventually releasing a DIY EP.
First single, We're From Barcelona, has a chorus it's impossible not to sing along with and a fantastic video that has already clocked up over 150,000 hits on YouTube and is gathering more and more converts to the 'biggest" band in Sweden's party (see for yourself:
www.youtube.com)

The single is followed by the Swedish collective's debut album, Let Me Introduce My Friends.
