Defected announce Ibiza line-ups

British house heavyweight Defected has announced the line-ups for its Ibiza residency this summer.

The sixteen parties happen every Tuesday from June 10 to September 23 at the island's original glam house institution Pacha.

The programme includes thirteen nights showcasing artists from its long-running In The House mix series as well as three Strictly Rhythm specials.

The Webby Awards are the Internet's most respected trophies that have been honouring the best of the web for twelve years.

This year the Webby's received almost 10,000 entries from over 60 countries worldwide, which were whittled down to just five nominees by the Awards' Academy members in each of a hundred categories.

The final winners will be decided by the panel of judges that includes web-savvy celebs like David Bowie, Miramax's Harvey Weinstein, Simpsons creator Matt Groening plus proper geeks like Vinton Cerf-he's the dude that invented the Internet-and top cats from companies like RealNetworks.

Since it's opening night on Oct 27/ 05 where legendary Toronto dj Mark Oliver kicked off the party to a sold out crowd, the BoomBoomRoom has established it's self as Windsor's premier entertainment Nightclub.

In it's first year we have been proud and privileged to bring to Windsor some of the worlds top dj's with a list that includes such acts as Benny Benassi, Steve Porter, Chus & Ceballos, BadBoyBill, DeepDish, James Zabiela, Dean Coleman, Armin Van Buuren, and many others - But the club wouldn't be anything if it wasn't for our amazing local talents who keep the club going every week.

Besides being the first to bring all these wonderful acts to town the BoomBoomRoom also set another milestone in it's first year by being awarded Windsor's first rooftop patio, an achievement that was not easily accomplished.

We would like to send out a special thanks to all our staff and all our customers for making our first year one we'll never forget, and we promise the next will be even better.

Flying Lotus
After a jam-packed Plastic People show which tore the roof off the place, Flying Lotus will be back in Europe for a series of dates in March & April - incl. 3 dates w RZA and a Rough Trade Instore preceding the main London Cargo show this Saturday. Dates in Warp Live below.

Aphex Twin & Battles at Coachella
Both will be at this year's Coachella Valley Festival, 25-27th April in California.

This will be a rare appearance Stateside for Aphex Twin - there's been wild guesses and double figure numbers thrown about the Warp office about when RDJ last played in the USA, but I've stopped listening and concluded that it was so long ago no-one remembers.


Warp X - Release Dates
Release dates have been announced for the first two films on the Warp X slate. A Complete History of my Sexual Failures will be in cinemas from June 27th, followed by Donkey Punch on July 18th.

THE EMFIRE COLLECTION

Sasha is proud to announce the release of The emFire Collection: Mixed, Unmixed & Remixed. The collection features two discs packed with over two full hours of music.

Disc 1 plays host to 'The Remixes', which invites four of the world's most exciting producers, Slam, Audion, Radio Slave, and The Field to present their interpretations of the emFire catalogue by way of a totally unique twist. Each carefully selected artist was commissioned to provide two versions - a traditional club mix and an alternative, leftfield mix.

Disc 2 features three exclusively edited originals and the previously unreleased 'Spangled Rubdub' of Coma alongside Sasha's 40 minute, mixed score to the surf film New Emissions Of Light & Sound.

Wildbirds & Peacedrums, a duo from Sweden, started in 2005 and has since then spread their fantastic and special music from the stage and through a couple of self-produced albums. Mariam Wallentin and Andreas Werliinbuild their music on vocals and drums and then expand and develop it with some help from electronic devices and other instruments such as the sitar and the glockenspiel. A perfect mix of spiritual pop, free-blues and raw soulmusic makes this band one of the most interesting in Sweden today.
