BAND: THE BAYS [UK]

Hello – Simon from The Bays here.

Just a quick one to let you know about what we consider our first weekend of the festival season - and in true Bays’ style, it’s as manic as the House of Commons accounts department.Friday 29th May we’ll be down at Audio in Brighton, re-acquainting ourselves with our favourite Sussex low-ceilinged basement. It’ll be a good old-school down and dirty affair and a chance for us to loosen our limbs for Saturday’s slot on the 30th May at the small but perfectly formed Sunrise Celebration festival.

We’ll be headlining there down in the West country and pausing briefly for breath on Sunday, before traveling to Bath for our Monday 1st June slot at the Bath Fringe Festival.

We’re playing at the Komedia, and by this point will be so lost in it all that the coming months, bringing shows at Kelburn Castle in Largs, Glastonbury, The Glade, Croatia, Shambala and all the other improbable events and venues – including the Tower of London – will cease to seem like the wall of mud and fun they are destined to be, and be more like a natural progression from this first relentless weekend. So, remember – Audio, Sunrise, Bath.

Might as well resign yourself to the fact it’s summer now and if you start early you won’t have to come up with any feeble excuses later. As with all our gigs, you can get all the details from www.thebays.com and, most importantly, as with all our gigs they simply can’t happen if you don’t show up. We play because you’re there.

See you very soon.

Simon Palmskin.
