EMI board lands executives

Mike Clasper and Billy Mann join label

EMI has added airport exec Mike Clasper and record producer Billy Mann to its investor board to assist in the transformation of the group.

Mann will advise on artist relations and provide creative input to EMI Group and the investor board. Clasper will advise on and review the development of EMI's manufacturing, logistics and sales operations.

Both will provide guidance and advice in all areas of the company.

Mann is the founder and CEO of Stealth Entertainment. He has worked with Pink, Sting, Joss Stone, Celine Dion, Martina McBride, Jessica Simpson, Ricky Martin, Art Garfunkel and others.

Clasper was the chief executive of BAA, the world's leading airports group, between 2003 and 2006. He joined the company in 2001 as deputy chief exec. Previously, he was president of Global Homecare at Procter & Gamble.

EMI's investor board, established in August, has been given the task of overseeing company's strategic review.

"Mike has had extensive experience of running successful businesses across the world and leading innovation in a variety of business sectors," said Guy Hands, chairman of EMI. "Billy, meanwhile, will help balance what is a very business and consumer focused investor board by providing creative input."
