GET PHYSICAL MUSIC

[GERMANY]

OUT NOW: GPM100 - V.A. - GPM100

It’s hard to believe, but Get Physical is 100 releases old! Time flies when you’re having fun…
To celebrate this landmark occasion, the label has prepared a very special 100th release. GPM100 is comprised of nine disparate “battle” tracks from the label’s best known producers and recent signings alike: M.A.N.D.Y., Booka Shade, Italoboyz, Nôze, Dakar, Siopis, DJ T, Thomas Schumacher, Lopazz, Heidi, Einzelkind, Meat, Patrice Bäumel, Caitlin Devlin, Djuma Soundsystem, Raz Ohara, Tiger Stripes and Audiofly. What a roll-call!

OUT NOW: GPMCD025 - Body Language Vol. 7 mixed by Matthew Dear

Matthew’s eagerly-awaited Body Language mix is a very personal selection, and one which reflects his own artistic interests, concerns and strategies. In a sense, he approached the project literally, seeking to explore aspects of both the ‘body’ and ‘language’ in his selection and ultimately achieve a marriage of the two.
if you listen carefully, you’ll hear that every track featured on Body Language 7 employs a vocal or ‘language’ of some kind - some explicit and pronounced, some broken down or indistinct. Meanwhile, the mix’s rhythmic default is one of sinewy, dancefloor-aimed 4x4 grooves, ‘body’ music at its purest and most devastating.

OUT NOW: GDM002 - Mac Neumann - Travelling The World EP

After the blinding success and rave reviews of the inaugural Get Digital release from Simon Baker and Jamie Jones, the Get Physical crew waste no time establishing its sister label as a no-nonsense stable for quality releases with their second release from the accomplished engineer Mac Neumann.
Travelling the World EP is a foray into the deepest realms of futuristic music.

OUT NOW: GPM101 - Booka Shade - Sweet Lies

Having spent the year (if not most of this decade!) tirelessly touring the globe, Booka Shade return with ‘Sweet Lies’- the third single to be taken from their acclaimed third album, The Sun & The Neon Light.
At its core, ‘Sweet Lies’ is an emotive, slightly melancholic song about escaping real life by getting lost in nightlife. Booka Shade’s ‘Easy Way Out’ mix is one long, compelling reason to do exactly that!
Patrice Bäumel, whose Get Physical single ‘Roar’ has been one of the year’s biggest club tracks, furnishes his label bosses with a thrilling remix that aims for the dancefloor but also celebrates the song-form at the heart of it.
Meanwhile, Moon Harbour boss Matthias Tanzmann offers a tough, percussive techno rework, taking minimal elements from the original track and massaging them into maximum effect.
Booka Shade’s ‘Bitter Truth’ mix is an altogether darker reimagining of ‘Sweet Lies’ than the ‘Easy Way Out’ version.
The band have just released the new music video for ‘Sweet Lies’.
Check it out HERE

Ian Pooley: “Very exciting remix package! I'm a big fan of M.Tanzmann's Remix and Booka's own "Easy way out Mix", will play them both to death!“

OUT DECEMBER 8th: GDM003 - Thomas Schumacher - Picanha

We are proud to invite the veteran Thomas Schumacher who has produced with Elektrochemie & DJ T. and recorded for legendary labels such as Bush, Gigolo, Get Physical and his own Spielzeug Schallplatten. Schumacher is a true producers producer and we are sure these two distinctive orchestrations are sure to love up the dance every time.

OUT DECEMBER 10th: GPM103 - Gel Abril - Miranda

Whether it is early December or late August, Gel Abril keeps it hot or cool - depending on which side of the equator you’re on - with an exceptional 12" of synth soaked, bleep saturated and tech drenched House. All exclusively produced by the talented Shlomi Aber in their hometown of Tel Aviv, Israel. Collectively they have released on Josh Wink’s Ovum Recordings as well as their own acclaimed Be As One Imprint.

OUT 2009: GPMCD026 - Final Song

Have you ever asked yourself what song you'd like to be played at your funeral?
Or, more powerful still, what song you'd most like to hear just before you die?
Final Song goes to the very heart of music's spiritual dimension by asking a number of musicians to select their ideal last song, either to serenade their final moments or to memorialize them after the fact.
Expect a musical selection from the world´s most famous DJs and producers, such as Laurent Garnier, Ricardo Villalobos and Giles Peterson including tracks by Radiohead, The Beach Boys, Brian Eno and many more. Coming out early 2009.
